Xqc is a former Overwatch professional player and now a full-time streamer. He streams almost everyday, entertaining thosands of people with the freshest memes and video reactions. He has been plagued by multiple scandals which were caused majorly by the oversensitiveness of the company that made Overwatch, Blizzard, and the fact that there are a bunch of so-called "game journalists" who spend their time writing a bunch of political agenda posts that usually complain about gamers/games/developers/communities. Well, with Felix's quirky personality, it shouldn't come as a surprise that he was very quickly targeted by these parties, and his name was painted black inside the Overwatch community.
The first major incident was when another Overwatch professional player called Muma made fun of one of xqc's catchphrases in an interview "rolled and smoked" after beating Xqc's team, Dallas Fuel, in a match. Xqc had a small rant on stream about this, and at one point he told Muma to "go suck a dick, not that he wouldn't like it". Muma is one of the very openly homosexual players in the Overwatch league, and Xqc immediately after saying this realized what he had just done, and chaos ensued. Xqc was made out to be a homophobic bigot (which I personally think is unfair) and he was fined for 2000$ US dollars and benched for a while. This was the first real punishment inside the Overwatch league.
Probably the most famous Xqc controversy, and at the same time the most laughable, which was a product of game journalists not understanding Twitch culture (twitch is a video streaming platform that Xqc frequently streams on). There was an Overwatch league match being streamed, in which Felix himself didn't participate, and was instead in the chat room as a regular viewer. When he tuned in, he typed "TriHard 7" in the chat, which is commonly used way on Twitch to greet others when joining the chat (TriHard is also commonly used whenever there's a black person on screen, which should make obvious why this was a problem to begin with). Unfortunately enough, at the same time, a black caster appeared on screen, making it look like Xqc was mocking the caster's heritage and this was interpreted as a racist remark. However, this was not the case, as Xqc was simply using TriHard 7 to greet everyone in the stream. This was obvious to anyone who is familiar with Twitch culture, especially since Xqc had commonly used TriHard 7 in a non-racial context before. However, the mainstream media outlets didn't know this, and created an outrage. Blizzard not knowing much better also punished Xqc for his chat message by fining him for 4000$ US dollars and giving him a 4 game suspension.
Around the same time, Xqc also tweeted a tweet saying "the casting is cancer" after noticing that the casters were being biased during a match. This was a minor incident, but it was the last coffin for Xqc's team, Dallas Fuel, who decided to part ways with Felix due to the sheer amount of incidents that he got involved in. Xqc then moved to full-time streaming, and is currently one of the most successful Twitch streamers on the platform, often pulling 20 thousand live viewers during a stream. He still plays Overwatch casually, and from time to time still gets in-game suspensions for toxic behavior. This is the byproduct of his attitude, which is often yelling at the mic when he becomes heated, and often insulting his teammates, especially his stream viewers who sometimes "snipe" him in order to join his games and throw the match to make him angry.
Xqc is known for his quirky personality.
The infamous TriHard emote.
This here on the right is twitch chat. It can either be relevantly quiet,
or absolutely full of people sending messages rapidly. The reason for this is that if
the streamer isn't online, people aren't going to be chatting with each other.
However, if the streamer is online, the chat will be going fast since there will
be tens of thousands of people typing at the same time.
This particular chatroom is Xqc's, to demonstrate what his community looks like and to give
you a taste of the twitch culture. Most of the messages might seem like random strings of
letters, but they're actually emotes just like TriHard, it's just that you can't see them without
3rd party browser extensions (they are called BetterTwitchTV and FrankerfaceZ).
The chat might seem overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it you realize that most messages
are identical in content, such as when something funny happens, chat will start spamming OMEGALUL or LULW (both
are emotes representing laughing at something, a variation of LOL). In case the chat is quiet and doesn't seem to be
scrolling, then it either doesn't work, or you're looking at an offline chat (when the streamer is not online).
To catch a glimpse of the "true" chat, you should look at it during the evening/night Finland time, which is when
Xqc mostly streams. He streams almost every day, but it is possible he is having a day off, in which case you're out of luck.
Notice that you can also send your own message to the chat and everyone else will see it provided that
you have a twitch account and log in. Remember that most people are watching the stream at the same time,
and their comments will be aimed towards the content of the stream. If you wish to have the full experience, feel free
